BANDON CARES STEERING COMMITTEE
The BandonCares Steering Committee meets periodically to plan functions and assure that the BandonCares goals are being actively pursued. BandonCares keeps a calendar on Google that shows meetings and contains meeting notes.
The Steering Committee Members are:

Groups brainstormed on the topic of networking and presented their results.
| Barbara Conn presenting: Group 1 – How do we network within our organization? • Email (But, there is the problem of some not having email or internet access.) • Coffee Break and newspaper announcements • Meetings o Using incentives like food to encourage participation o Having announcements of coming events o Having predictable, consistent meeting days and times o Using AV presentations, like a PowerPoint slide show, to feature coming events o Keeping and distributing minutes • Monthly newsletters and/or weekly bulletins (mailed or distributed at events/meetings) • Mail (But at .44 per piece, it’s expensive.) • Phone Trees • Websites, especially using links to other sites and asking others to link to ours • Posting the event on the Chamber of Commerce calendar | |

| | Some pictures of the group networking at Harbortown Events Center on April 5 at the BandonCares semiannual meeting. A great buffet dinner of wraps, veggie trays and fruit trays. Guests enjoyed coffee, tea, cranberry juice, and, for dessert, cookies baked for the ocassion. |
