BandonCares

Organized to help Bandon Nonprofits to:

  • Learn about current Bandon area projects, organizations and collaborations.

  • Network with community organizations, stakeholders and potential partners.

  • Hear about new initiatives and opportunities for training and recruiting.

  • Celebrate the accomplishments of the Bandon Area Community.

  • Continue participation in the Ford Institute Leadership Program.

  • Support the development of a nonprofit community network.

We will be meeting at least semi-annually to support BandonCares collaboration goals.

The next BandonCares general meeting is in the planning stages.  It will be in the fall, 2010 probably between mid-October and mid-November. 

In November 2008, a BandonCares Meeting and Volunteer Recruitment event was held.  It's purpose was to:

  • Improve communication and collaboration among leaders and volunteers of Bandon's nonprofit organizations

  • Showcase nonprofits to the Bandon Community

  • Encourage volunteering.

The BandonCares Steering Committee is now formed to continue this effort and hold semi-annual meetings.

BANDON CARES STEERING COMMITTEE

The BandonCares Steering Committee meets periodically to plan functions and assure that the BandonCares goals are being actively pursued.  BandonCares keeps a calendar that you can access from this website (see Meetings link) that shows meetings and contains meeting notes.
